What is Title 18
Meridian Volunteer Fire Department is Title 18. As a Title 18 Fire Department it is incorporated as a charitable corporation for the purpose of providing fire protection services for an unincorporated area. We are considered an agency of the State of Oklahoma.
The department does receive a share of Logan County sales tax dollars that makes up 90% of the departments budget, the rest is made up by subscription dues and grants. So your subscriptions make a big difference in the departments ability to respond to emergencies, remember it takes fuel for the vehicles for us to respond.
